Abstract: In this talk, Jon will go into detail on the new productivity enhancements that Visual Studio 2010 provides. Since Visual Studio 2010 is built on .NET 4.0, some of the talk will focus on .NET 4.0 features like the Managed Extensibility Framework (MEF). Jon will also talk about the new Visual Studio 2010 extensibility model which bring IDE customization to the masses.

About the Presenter: Jon is most at home spelunking, trying to figure out exactly how things work. Jon wrote Essential ASP for Addison-Wesley, and co-authored Mastering Visual Studio.NET for O’Reilly, and is currently working on a book on REST and WCF for O’Reilly. Jon has also been involved with Windows Workflow Foundation and Windows Communication Foundation since early betas and currently is interested in helping Microsoft developers learn about REST.
