Abstract: In addition to fueling the computing industry’s tremendous growth, changing the way we communicate, changing the way we search for information and etc., the Internet creates a whole new horizon for embedded devices, which we refer to as “The Internet of Things”.
This presentation takes a brief look into the embedded device opportunities, shows the steps to build an embedded devices and develop application for embedded devices, using Microsoft technologies.
One of Microsoft’s key advantage and strength is the ability to deliver and maintain developer friendly and productive development tool, such as the Visual Studio family of development tools. With Windows Embedded Compact, you can develop real-world application from the Visual Studio IDE.
If you are already familiar with the Visual Studio development environment, coding in C++, C# or Visual Basic, you already have the basic knowledge which you can leverage to develop Windows Embedded application.
